what_do_I_do?

i make software and hardware. and i use them to do things.
i make things that create movement, sounds and visions, wether you are looking at a TV set, a computer monitor, a building.
when i make something i like, i usually show it up here and in a couple of other places, including other websites and various locations of physical and virtual worlds.
i also make things like information systems, mobile systems, geographical information systems, security systems, entertainment infrastructures, combining systems with incredible amounts of computing and networking power to produce what many people (the consumers) see as services and products they use through their mobile phones, their internet connection, their cable or satellite television, their car, their home.
these last few things may sound, at first, boring and very far from the beauty of art and creativity, but they actually are not.
i learned quite a few things through these kinds of “jobs”.
first of all, the deeply political nature of software.
then the cultural, anthropological, philosophical implications of technology.
so, in one way or another, i had the chance to learn how to use all the technology i need to produce the various parts of my work, hybridizing them and integrating them from aesthetical, architectural, philosophical, anthropological, political, perceptive, psychological points of view, creating objects, places, architectures, environments, processes that click onto the contemporary processes that, through critical research and study, i consider as being significative, or to sensations, emotions or perceptive domains that i find intriguing.
