Today we have been at Goldsmiths University to perform a workshop on the REFF project and to present the free tools that FakePress has been distributing during the last few months:

REFF will be at the CS Cantiere in Milan on January 21st 2011 for a workshop on the cross media platforms that we will be using for our next actions and an AR installation

AOS and FakePress will present a FLUXUS box created using augmented reality and cross-medial approaches. At the NABA in Milan, for 50 years of FLUXUS, December 15th, 2010. Here is an intro on the methodologies and technologies that will be used.

FakePress and Art is Open Source will hold a workshop on next-step publishing during the New Media Book event at Innovation Festival in Milan, on Oct. 9th 2010. We will also present an open source system to create augmented reality cross media publications.

FakePress, Art is Open Source and the Hub Roma, together with Università La Sapienza, Rome, and Università Tor Vergata, Rome, present Squatting Supermarkets / iSee, a mobile action/performance/technology creating emergent social networks for critical consumism and urban narratives. Research and project works presented.

April 30th, from 9am to 2pm, at the Interaction Design laboratory held at the course on “Multimedia Technologies and Communications Experimentations” at the Faculty of Architecture “Ludovico Quaroni” – La Sapienza, Università di Roma, Department of Industrial Design by FakePress, will explore the territories of holophonic listening with Marco Fagotti, guest Lecturer for the event. Salvatore Iaconesi, visiting professor at the course, will illustrate the fundamental technologies and methodologies that can be used to design digital sound spatial positioning with the techniques of holophony.

AOS participated to AHAcktitude 2009 in Milan, and it was a great experience. We presented Bluetooth Wars, a workshop in which the people were able to build their very own Bluetooth media server. This has many uses, ranging from proximity advertising to political uses in demonstrations or events. Here below the links to the presentation slides and to the video of the workshop.
