Today we have been at Goldsmiths University to perform a workshop on the REFF project and to present the free tools that FakePress has been distributing during the last few months:

after the Always Already New conference in Milan, we present our project for a knowledge sharing, networked expression framework that is usable to create collaborative projects and innovative education paths

AOS and FakePress will present a FLUXUS box created using augmented reality and cross-medial approaches. At the NABA in Milan, for 50 years of FLUXUS, December 15th, 2010. Here is an intro on the methodologies and technologies that will be used.

Art is Open Source, together with FakePress have recently participated at the ICALT conference, International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies. We presented Toys++, an augmented reality system allowing you to apply digital contents to the toys people (and especially children) play with, and to visualize them while you assemble them.

FakePress, Art is Open Source and the Hub Roma, together with Università La Sapienza, Rome, and Università Tor Vergata, Rome, present Squatting Supermarkets / iSee, a mobile action/performance/technology creating emergent social networks for critical consumism and urban narratives. Research and project works presented.

April 30th, from 9am to 2pm, at the Interaction Design laboratory held at the course on “Multimedia Technologies and Communications Experimentations” at the Faculty of Architecture “Ludovico Quaroni” – La Sapienza, Università di Roma, Department of Industrial Design by FakePress, will explore the territories of holophonic listening with Marco Fagotti, guest Lecturer for the event. Salvatore Iaconesi, visiting professor at the course, will illustrate the fundamental technologies and methodologies that can be used to design digital sound spatial positioning with the techniques of holophony.

At FakePress we have just started teaching 3 courses on Interaction Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Rome’s University “La Sapienza”. We will use these courses as an opportunity to enact what I can only refer to as “the most contemporary form of political action I can think of”.
Angel_F is a young artificial intelligence son of Derrick de Kerckhove and the Biodoll. It ws born from a digitally sexual accident when the Biodoll seduced prof. Derrick de Kerckhove :)Angel_F and its book have been presented at Generative Arts Congress 2009, to a delighted audience. This is the presentation that was used in that occasion.

This year’s Consciousness Reframed conference has just finished, and we just returned home for a little while.
A sunny Munich hosted the tenth edition of the Planetary Collegium’s annual conference themed “Experiencing Design, Behaving Media”.
We presented two FakePress projects: Conference Biofeedback and Ubiquitous Anthropology.

Art is Open Source is going at Consciousness Reframed X conference organized by the Planetary Collegium in November 2009 at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Munich. We’ll be there from November 19th to 21st.
We will present the Ubiquitous Anthropology project with FakePress. We will also present and use our little new project: Conference BioFeedback.

We will be at the DULP 2009 meeting at the Tor Vergata University on September 14th and 15th, 2009, to present FakePress and, specifically Ubiquitous Anthropology (presented by Luca Simeone) and Saperi p2p (presented by Salvatore Iaconesi)
