Three new events for La Cura:

Erbe Indisciplinate

3 days with La Cura, immersed in a neo-rural residency. A workshop and a performance floating between research, technology, art and nature.

In partnership with Rural Hub, Art is Open Source and La Casa Delle Erbe.

We will arrive on April 15th. On Saturday 16th we will understand how it is possible to establish parallels between the knowledge of the territory (as exemplified by the knowledge of the herbs which grow in the woods of the mountains near Calvanico/Salerno) and the possibility to invent new forms of caring which interconnect the whole community in inclusive way: interconnected knowledge as a radical form of innovation. We will set up methods and tools. On Sunday 17th we will prepare the performance which will happen the next day.

A workshop at the Federico II University

The first workshop for La Cura will take place at the Federico II University in Naples, at the course in Marketing, Communication and Advertising held by professor Alex Giordano.

Alex is the first academic to have adopted the book for La Cura among the course’s textbooks: students will choose a learning path together with him among the ones which are contained in the “workshop” sections of the book, and/or remixing them to create new ones.

The content and results of the workshop will extend the knowledge base of La Cura.

The event will take place from 3pm to 6pm on April 19th 2016 at the Department for Social Sciences, room II, in Vico Monte della Pietà 1, Naples.

A conversation with a Philosopher and a Cyborg

Held in the cycle of seminars #BitGeneration, the session will feature an exceptional conversation about La Cura fuelled by professor Aldo Masullo, philosopher, and a young cyborg, Maria Venditti, who will question the meaning of the performance and of the book, together with Salvatore Iaconesi and Oriana Persico.

The event will have the scientific direction of Alex Giordano (in his role of professor of Marketing, Communication and Advertising) who will also act as a moderator, and of Lello Savonardo (in his role of professor in Communication and Young Cultures).

The event will take place on April 20th 2016 from 11am to 1pm, at the Department of Social Sciences of the Federico II University in Naples, Vico Monte della Pietà 1.
