La Cura is out with a new book, published by Codice Edizioni, featuring the story of the global artistic performance which started when Salvatore Iaconesi was diagnosed with a brain cancer and he decided to open it up to the entire society to confront with the biopolitics of disease, as they manifest themselves in the era of data, information and knowledge.

The book is also a trans-disciplinary research, which shows the motivations and methods which were used to confront with the many issues which manifested themselves in the performance, from information overload to interface politics, from big data to nutrition, from the exploration of new forms of autobiography to the concepts of openness and secrecy, and many more.

A toolkit completes the book, enabling people to create their own performance and to contribute to an ubiquitous knowledge base which comes under the form of an education path which is also a commons.

La Cura will be presented at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, on Friday April 8th, at Palazzo Sorbello, from 5pm to 6pm. Luca de Biase will introduce and lead the conversation, which will feature Oriana Persico and Salvatore Iaconesi.
